About Us

My name is Adam Brown and my journey in the plumbing and heating industry began at just 16, when I left school to start a 3½-year plumbing and gas apprenticeship alongside studying at Leeds College of Building.

During my apprenticeship, I gained my NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Plumbing, Level 3 Gas qualification and G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification.

Over 21 years of being employed locally by companies based in Rawdon, Otley and Yeadon, I have built a broad range of hands-on experience across all areas of plumbing and heating.

I have a strong foundation and a real understanding of what it takes to deliver quality workmanship. I have dealt with everything from general plumbing repairs to complete bathroom installations and renovations.

Specialising in boiler breakdown, repair, installation and servicing, I have developed in-depth knowledge of a wide range of boiler manufacturers and gas appliances. This long-term experience has given me the ability to diagnose boiler problems, find the right solutions and provide customers with honest, practical advice.

I have expanded my qualifications to include LPG, enabling us to work with LPG-fuelled properties and leisure homes and further broaden the services we can offer.

In 2025, Crosscheck Plumbing & Heating was established as a family-run business by myself and my wife, Adelphia Pyrbot.

For us, Crosscheck is more than just providing a regular one-off service to our customers, but rather having a genuine commitment to serving people well.

As Christians, our faith has shaped the way we wanted to build and run our business — with honesty, integrity and hard work.
